On 1 October, Universidade Lusófona marked the Final Lecture (Última Lição) of Professor Óscar de Sousa, entitled "Learning and Teaching: Paths of a Teacher". The session took place at the Agostinho da Silva Auditorium in Lisbon and brought together around 70 people in a tribute to his academic career.

Associate Professor at Universidade Lusófona, where he has taught since 1997, Óscar de Sousa directed the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Educational Sciences. His research focuses on teaching and learning processes, teacher education and professionalism, school organisation and language development. The tribute also recognised his contribution to the education of successive generations of students and researchers.
