16 may 2024

On 18 April 2024, Inês Vieira, director of the Public Science Forum and a researcher at CeiED, presented a paper entitled 'Public science and/with children in urban spaces: reflections from participatory projects' at the Faculty of Education of the University of São Paulo. The researcher was invited by Marcia Gobbi to the session 'Children in cities: manifestos, silences, indifference and other reflections. Conversations with researchers from Italy and Portugal', in which Silvia D'Eusanio, from the Università degli Studi di Teramo, also took part, with the paper 'Rethinking urban spaces: a feminist perspective on inclusive cities for vulnerable bodies'.

The event, with around 50 participants including students, professors from various study cycles and researchers, was organised within the framework of the Study and Research Group - Children, urban practices, gender and image, and the Postgraduate Programme - Childhood Studies Line, of the Faculty of Education at the University of São Paulo.

Inês Vieira is currently travelling for the MUBIESUS project 'Public science and educational paths to sustainability in museums and libraries in Lisbon and São Paulo'.
