Participation in mobility to Cyprus – Erasmus+: MARKA Project – Innovation and Inclusion in the construction of an identity curriculum

Within the scope of the Erasmus + Program “Innovation and Inclusion in the Construction of an Identity Curriculum”, the postdoctoral researcher Louise Lima was in mobility in Nicosia, Cyprus, between January 23 and 27, 2023, entitled “Cultural Heritage: cultural diversity in the construction of an identity curriculum”. The host school was Agioi Omologites Primary School KB and was attended by teams from the countries of Portugal, Italy, Estonia and Portugal.
MARKA: Innovation and Inclusion in building an identity curriculum is a 30-month international project, started in October 2020, and funded by the ERASMUS+ KA201 Program. The general objective is based on the construction of an identity curriculum in articulation with the local heritage. This mobility constituted a moment for sharing experiences of collaborative work in the Marka methodology (implementation of the 4 challenges and articulation with local partner entities); in parallel with knowledge of the educational systems and school contexts in each country; and raising awareness about the preservation and enhancement of the natural heritage of the host country.
This mobility was also constituted as one of the stages of the data collection process, with the application of questionnaires, interviews and focus groups. The analysis of these data will contribute to the elaboration of the Methodological Guide for the construction of a curriculum, research coordinated by Professor Ariana Cosme with the contribution of researchers Louise Lima (CeiED) and Daniela Ferreira (CIIE-FPCEUP).
