From 27 to 31 March, CeiED’s integrated researchers Carla Galego and Lucimar Dantas participated in a training session that took place in Haninge, Sweden, under the Erasmus+ STEAMing up the sustainability with Sustainable Development Goals project.

The project has as partners primary, secondary and higher education institutions in Sweden, Turkey, Slovenia and Portugal and aims to build pedagogical material, to be made available as MOOC and E-book for teachers throughout the European Union. Besides the researchers, Ana Valente, Elisabete Cipriano, Luísa Quaresma and Rita Freitas da Costa joined the Portuguese team. Throughout the week, lesson plans were prepared focusing on programmatic content in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals of the UNESCO 2030 Agenda. All the learning proposals developed were structured based on the student-centred teaching paradigm and on the implementation of pedagogical practices based on problem solving, enhancing the development of critical thinking, creativity, teamwork and problem solving skills in students.
