Professor and Researcher Elsa Estrela has been appointed Honorary Associate Professor at the School of Social Sciences – Education at the University of Stirling in the United Kingdom.
The appointment, which takes effect on 1 July 2026 and is valid for a period of three years, recognises Professor Elsa Estrela’s contribution to the work carried out in the field of Education at the institution, particularly following her three-month stay (December 2025 – February 2026) at this university, during which she worked closely with Professor Mark Priestley and the researchers on his team, namely Romina Madrid, Andrea Priestley and Lizzie Rushton.
In its official statement, the University of Stirling highlights its appreciation for her expertise and the contribution she can make to students, staff and the international academic community. The institution also expresses its satisfaction at being able to count on her collaboration, emphasising that her expertise will be an asset to the development of teaching and research activities within the Faculty of Social Sciences.
