Project Approved and Funded: Alargamento da Rede de Clubes Ciência Viva na Escola

Ana Sofia António, CeiED researcher, had the funding for her project proposed by Agrupamento de Escolas de Parede – Ciência. Viva! – approved by IMPULSO JOVEM STEAM, Rede Ciência Viva do and the Plano de Recuperação e Resiliência.

The active participation of ESEL students is expected in the activities of the Ciência Viva! Club. It is important that Basic Education students meet young university students with different life histories, that this situation can contribute to raising the expectations of these students in defining their school career. Well, this was also thought of as a means of facilitating the social mobility project, in the sense of promoting school success for all students and developing a taste for learning.

Natural Sciences and Mathematics are thematic areas of the Club, but other areas also involved, as the learning experience and participation is inherently interdisciplinary, especially at lower levels of education. On the other hand, the Club is expected to contribute to the Digital Transition, through the encouragement and use of digital and the creation of an innovative space.

The Ciência Viva! Club involves students from different levels of education and counts on the existence of the Learning Support Center, Santo António Unit. the defined program is able to respond to the expectations and needs of all students, in short, for the community.
