ReLeCo in Social and Educational Mediation and the Mediation Institute at Lusófona University are organising a BIP on Supervision, Mediation and Artificial Intelligence in Educational and Social Contexts

From 24 June to 8 July 2026, the Institute of Mediation at Lusófona University will be running the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) entitled “Supervision, Mediation and Artificial Intelligence in Educational and Social Contexts”.

Scientifically coordinated by lecturers Elisabete Pinto da Costa, Alcina de Oliveira Martins and Louise Lima, researchers at ReLeCo Social and Educational Mediation, part of CeiED – Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Development, this BIP is based on an interdisciplinary approach that links supervision, mediation and artificial intelligence as tools for regulating, transforming and innovating professional practices in educational and social contexts.

The programme aims to provide participants with intensive training focused on the development of critical, applied and reflective skills. In this context, participants are expected to be able to:

  • demonstrate a critical understanding of the fundamentals of supervision, mediation and artificial intelligence;
  • apply the knowledge acquired in educational, social and digital contexts;
  • critically analyse the ethical, social and political implications of artificial intelligence;
  • communicate effectively in interdisciplinary and intercultural contexts;
  • develop autonomous and reflective learning skills.

This BIP is part of the CIMXXI project – Citizenship, Interculturality and Mediation in Glocal Contexts for the 21st Century, funded by the Erasmus+ programme.

The programme will involve students from Slovakia, Hungary, Lithuania and Poland, as well as lecturers from Lithuania, reinforcing the international, intercultural and collaborative nature of the training activity.
