The competition for the award of four (4) Scientific Initiation Scholarships for the summer course - Science Schools: Introduction to scientific research and digital experiences for a future science, taking place between September 1 and September 30, 2021, is open. The competition is part of the "Summer with Science" Program, promoted by FCT, under the following conditions:

Admission Requirements:

Students and young people who meet the conditions to be research scholarship holders (articles 5 and 6 of the FCT Scholarship Regulation).

Work Plan:

Based on the pillars of innovation, culture, teaching, and research, the initiation activities to R&D of the students will take place within the framework of four of the nine ReLeCo - Research and Learning Communities that are part of the research structure of CeiED - Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Education and Development. These ReLeCo are NELP - Portuguese Language Studies Center, PISA/Regulation and Transnationalization of Education Policies, Sociomuseology, and NEISE - Center for Studies in Social and Educational Inclusion.

Applicable Legislation and Regulation:

The scholarship is awarded under Law No. 40/2004, of August 18 (Statute of the Research Fellow), as amended by DL No. 123/2019, Regulation of Scholarships and Research of the Foundation for Science and Technology in force (Regulation No. 950/2019 of December 16), and the Regulation of Scholarships of the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies.

Place of Activity:

The activities related to the scholarship will be carried out at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Education and Development of the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies (ULHT), under the scientific guidance of Dr. Carla Galego (Integrated Researcher at CeiED).

Duration of the Scholarship:

The scholarship will last for 1 month, starting on September 1, 2021.

Monthly Maintenance Allowance:

The amount of the scholarship corresponds to 446.12 euros according to the table of values of scholarships awarded directly by FCT, I.P. in the country. The scholarship will be paid by bank transfer.

The performance of functions as a scholarship holder is carried out on an exclusive dedication basis, under Article 5 of the Statute of the Research Fellow.

Selection Methods:

The selection of candidates will be made by a jury consisting of Dr. Carla Galego (President), Dr. Lucimar Dantas (1st Member), and Dr. Maristela Simão (2nd Member), based on the curriculum evaluation, which will correspond to 100% of the evaluation of the candidates.

Publication/Notification of Results:

The final results of the evaluation will be published through a draft ordered list, displayed in a visible and public place at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Education and Development and published on the CeiED website.

Candidates may lodge a complaint within 5 working days from the posting/publication of the final classification list.

The approved candidate will be notified by email.
