Results of the Election for the new WCCES President announced

The results of the election for the new president of the World Council of Comparative Education Societies (WCCES) were announced on 25 July. Professor Kanishka Bedi succeeds Professor N'Dri Therese Assié-Lumumba, who held the position for two consecutive terms (2016-2024). The announcement was made during the WCCES General Assembly, which took place in the context of the 18th WCCES World Congress at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, from 22 to 26 July 2024. It was also announced that the next World Congress will take place in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) in 2027 and that the 6th WCCES Symposium will be held in Lisbon in 2025.

CeiED and SPCE-SEC-Section of Comparative Education in Portugal congratulate Professor Kanishka Bedi and wish him a successful term in office, which will strengthen dialogue, discussion and the development of comparative education worldwide.
