At the invitation of Professor Carlos Ceia and the CETAPS, the teacher and researcher Elsa Estrela participated, on 1st July, in the Colloquium entitled Margins and Bridges for Education
This was a moment when researchers and teachers from higher education and primary and secondary education met to discuss and reflect on the problems that currently cross education, particularly those related to its actors and school organization.
Elsa Estrela made an intervention around the Teaching Professionalism, identifying possibilities of dialogue and constraints in processes of reconfiguration of that Professionalism. She also presented the results of research she has been developing at CeiED, with the researcher Rosa Serradas Duarte, which point to an acceleration of the identified processes, inscribed in a neoliberal logic. These processes may, however, present opportunities for the development of a Professionalism shaped by the reinforcement of the deliberative dimension of teachers and by the integration of the individual in the social.
