The 2nd Itinerant Conference on the Statute of the Teaching Career, entitled ‘An Assertive Architecture of the Educational System’, was held recently, with presentations by professors António Teodoro and Elsa Estrela, both researchers at CeiED.

The event focused on analysing Decree-Law 41/2012, questioning whether it ensures an environment of stability and trust in schools, promotes the de-bureaucratisation of working methods and carries out an effective evaluation of administrative practices and processes in education management.

The conference also addressed the current challenges faced by teachers and the possible reforms needed for a more assertive teaching career adapted to contemporary demands.
