Video Now Available: “The Normalization of the Radical Right” Webinar
The video of the webinar “The Normalization of the Radical Right”, held on April 21, 2025, as part of the activities of the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development (CeiED), is now available online.
The session presented and discussed the most recent book by Vicente Valentim, “O Fim da Vergonha” (Gradiva, 2025), an adaptation of “The Normalization of the Radical Right: A Norms Theory of Political Supply and Demand” (Oxford University Press, 2024).
PhD in Political Science, Vicente Valentim examines the rise and social normalization of the radical right, exploring how changes in social norms influence political behavior and the public expression of extremist ideologies.
The webinar was moderated by André Freitas, integrated researcher at CeiED and PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Porto.
