Work meeting of the Seed Project The language that I inhabit

Last Wednesday, 13/07, the research team of the seed project A língua que habito, o mundo que construo: ensino de língua portuguesa e desenvolvimento de competências em países da comunidade lusófona met in person at CeiED’s facilities. The meeting aimed to adjust the details of the data collection tasks in the participating schools in Angola, Brazil and Portugal, taking advantage of the presence in Lisbon of the doctoral students who are part of the project research team in Angola: Maria Teresa Costa and Rosalina Lambo; and in Brazil: Mary Joice Rodrigues and Raimunda Lobão.

The data collection instruments were presented and discussed, as well as the procedures to be followed and the schedule for carrying out the tasks in the schools of the participating countries.

The project The language I use, the world I build is coordinated by teachers Lucimar Dantas and Carla Galego. It aims to find out the strategies used by final year secondary school Portuguese language teachers to develop a set of competences and skills. At the same time, it intends to know the performance of students of that school year in critical thinking, using contextual data of language use and experimental data.
