RIAiPE 3: InterUniversity Framework Program for Equity and Social Cohesion Policy in Higher Education

Drawing on previous research experience on equity in education through previous projects, this network aims at the main objective of reforming and modernizing higher education systems and institutions in participating Latin American countries, paying special attention to disadvantaged and vulnerable groups and countries. The RIAIPE3 network focuses on the issue of equity and social relevance of higher education institutions in a context of profound inequality and high expectations in building a Higher Education Space consistent with the knowledge societies approach and based on social cohesion. The complexity of the task must address with relevance, clarity, and social responsibility the issues of exclusion, access, and retention in the system, as well as diverse regional and territorial realities.
