Ana Luísa Vicente

Ana Luísa Vicente holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Extremadura (Spain), recognised by the Portuguese Directorate-General for Higher Education, a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology—specialisation in Family and Systemic Intervention—and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the Miguel Torga Institute of Higher Education. She is a Specialist in Educational Psychology and in Clinical and Health Psychology, certified by the Portuguese Order of Psychologists (OPP).

She is a psychologist in the Psychology and Guidance Service of a public school group in the Algarve, Portugal, working in the fields of inclusive education, psychological and psychopedagogical assessment and intervention, vocational guidance and the design and implementation of social-emotional learning programmes, in close collaboration with teachers, families and multidisciplinary teams. She is also an Invited Assistant Professor at the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Higher Education Institute (ISMAT), in Portimão, where she teaches in the areas of learning, development and the psychology of emotions and motivation.

As a researcher, she has presented and published work at national and international conferences and journals in the fields of educational psychology, social-emotional skills, mental health and life transitions.
