Anderson Souza
Anderson Luiz de Souza holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Education from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS, Brazil. He also holds a postgraduate qualification in Contemporary Art and Art Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design. He is a university lecturer, artist and researcher with experience in higher education in the fields of Visual Arts, Art Education, Drawing, Fashion and Design.
He is currently an Assistant Professor at Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes – ISMAT, Portugal, where he directs the Master’s Degree in Teaching Visual Arts in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education. His work brings together artistic practice, research and pedagogy, with particular interests in drawing, the body, visual culture, teacher education, textile practices, sustainability, curatorial practices and contemporary creative processes.
