Fernando M. F. Rodrigues Silva

Fernando Manuel Ferreira Rodrigues Silva is a collaborating researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Development (CeiED) at Lusófona University – Lisbon University Center and a collaborating researcher at the Research Center on Identities, Democracy, School, Training in Administration, and Community of Practice (IDEAFor) at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto (FPCEUP). He holds a Ph.D. in Education from Lusófona University – Lisbon University Center, a Master's degree in Educational Administration and Planning from Universidade Portucalense (Porto), completed coursework for a Master's degree in Teaching Economics from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto.

He taught for 33 academic years in the Official Education system and is currently retired. He has published numerous articles in specialized journals as author and co-author on various scientific production indicators (articles, books, and chapters), published in Portuguese and English. He has authored several books in the disciplinary area of Secondary Education Economics.

He has experience in guiding advanced training and has served as an examiner for dissertations presented for the Master's degree at Lusófona University – Porto University Center and at the School of Education (Polytechnic Institute of Porto), as well as mentoring master's and bachelor's students in the Mentoring program at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto. He is also a teacher trainer for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd cycles and Secondary Education. He is a member of the Portuguese Society of Educational Sciences and the National Association of Teachers.
