Gionara Tauchen

Gionara Tauchen is an associate professor at the Institute of Education of the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) and a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow. She is the coordinator of the Higher Education Teaching Studies and Research Network (REPEES, Brazil). She holds a bachelor degree in Pedagogy (UFSM, 2002), a master degree in Education (UFSM, 2004), a doctorate in Education (PUC/RS, 2009), and a postdoctorate in Teaching and Learning from Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM, 2014) Mozambique, and in Education at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel, 2023). 

She is a collaborating professor at Óscar Ribas University (UÓR, since 2018) and at the Saber Training Center in Angola, working with the Pedagogical Training course for University Professors in Angola and Timor-Leste. She is a member of FORGES - Forum for Higher Education Management in Portuguese-speaking Countries and Regions and is linked to the Working Group: Quality in Higher Education. 

She was Director of Postgraduate Studies at FURG (2017 to 2020); Coordinator of Postgraduate Monitoring (2014-2016); coordinated the Postgraduate Program in Education (2012-2013) and the Postgraduate Program in Science Education (2021/2022). She was a member of the FAPERGS Advisory Committee in the area of Education and Psychology. She is a reviewer for numerous national and international journals. She has teaching and management experience in the field of education.
