Luiz Baldan Is a Postdoctoral researcher in Visual Arts at the University of Brasília, PhD and Master's degree in Visual Languages from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from Florida International University, with an emphasis on Photography and Time-based media and specialization in Art History.

Junior Researcher through the 7th Edition of the CEEC/FCT at CeiED, developing the project How to look together (2024.08863.CEECIND), focused on the relationship between art, territory, and communities, with work conducted in contexts in Portugal, Angola, and Brazil.

Since 2000, she has been working with multisensory observation exercises, whether in temporary residences or in transit, on issues intrinsic to housing and human relationships that are established between places and stories, resulting in photographs, texts, audio and video installations, some of which are collaborative projects.

In addition to her work as an artist, she collaborates with art institutions and independent spaces as a mentor, producer, and curator, including the Parque Lage School of Visual Arts and NowHere Lisboa, where she offers courses and project support to other artists.
