I concluded my PhD in Education by the University of Lisboa (Institute of Education), with a thesis in a transdisciplinar domain: "Learning in the Information and Knowledge Society - between the local and the global - a contribution for Peace Education" (2013).

My Master in Education (Pedagogical Supervision) was by the same university: "Professional Development and Primary Schools Teacher Learning - Contributions for a reflection about learning in the social practice" (2005).

I’m graduated in Educational Sciences (Adult Education) by the University of Lisbon (1996). I’m a former primary teacher (1979).

As teacher, in Primary School, in Teacher training or at the University, key issues are participation, collaboration, democracy and Social Justice. I’m is also experienced in coordinating national and international projects.

Between 2017-2019, I was a board member of the innovative school Jardim Infantil Pestalozzi. Actualy my research interests are related with Social and Educative Inclusion and Expressive Pedagogies (Learning creative action methods based on Sociodrama), participatory action research methods (PAR).

I’m finishing my POS-DOC about the precedent research interests. I’ve published 5 papers, 6 chapters of books, organized 2 events, received 2 prices, and participated in 5 projects.

In my CV the most frequent terms are: ICT in Education, curricular articulation or integration, Teacher training and cooperation, Learning based in action and Expressive Pedagogies, Comunity Development, Human Development, Peace Education, Social and Educative Inclusion, Youngsters at risk, Learning as social practice.
