Maria Neves Gonçalves

Maria Neves Gonçalves is a Coordinator Professor at the Lusofonia Polytechnic Institute. She holds a Ph.D. in Education Sciences from the University of Évora. She earned a Master's degree in Education Sciences from Lusofona University - Lisbon University Center. She has a Postgraduate Degree in Civic Education from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Portuguese Catholic University and a Specialized Training Course in Educational Administration from the Lusófona University – Lisbon University Center.

She completed post-doctoral studies in the History of Education (Salamanca) and Socio-History (Lyon 2). She is the director of the Lusofonia Higher School of Education (ESEL-IPLUSO) and coordinates the UNESCO Associated Schools Network at ESEL. She serves as the editor of the Lusophone Education Journal. She has participated in projects funded by FCT and Erasmus+ projects. She has published several articles in specialized international journals. In her professional activities, she has collaborated in various scientific networks.
