Alex Silva Nogueira

Alex is a cultural activist, researcher, and producer engaged with the Hip Hop movement in Portugal and Brazil. He holds a degree in Philosophy and a Master's in Education and Philosophy. Currently, he is studying Museology at Universidade Lusófona and actively participates in cultural collectives.

In Brazil, he was a member of the committee of Frente Brasil Popular in the ABC Paulista region, working in social mobilizations. He also served as Director of the ABC Teachers' Union and as Director of Social Communication at the Tamoyo Museum in Rio Claro.

As a scholar with a keen interest in critical references, he seeks theoretical foundations in sources such as Geledés and other publications addressing social and cultural issues related to African, peripheral, and decolonial traditions.

He is currently a research fellow in the project Generating Bodies: From Aggression to Insurgence. Contributions to a Decolonial Pedagogy (2022.06269.PTDC).
