Abstract

This doctoral thesis proposal comes as a response to one of the Directorate-General for Education's (DGE) guidelines for the current school year, focussing on the Digital Wellbeing of primary school pupils. The growing use of screens and digital technologies in education makes it necessary to create strategies that combat the associated negative effects, such as eyestrain, social and emotional disconnection and stress.

In this context, the incorporation of synaesthetic stimuli, including sound, texture and visual movement, into pedagogical practices appears to be a promising approach to enriching students' aesthetic and emotional experience, contributing to a more humanised and immersive digital environment.

The research proposes to investigate the potential of digital synaesthesia as an innovative tool to enhance the educational experience in cycle education, promoting well-being in digital contexts and meeting the emerging needs of contemporary education.
