Nathália Pamio Luiz holds a Master’s in Museology and is currently a PhD Candidate in Sociomuseology with a project funded by the UNESCO Chair "Education, Citizenship and Cultural Diversity": Museum as Social Technology and Sociomuseology Practices”. She is a member of the ReLeCo Public Policies and Governance in Education and Memory, Citizenship and Sociomuseology.

Abstract
The object of this research is to study the relationship between social technologies as a resource for social innovation and the practices of Sociomuseology, observed in museums whose activities are based on their social function in relation to the communities with which they interact.
Within the framework of normative museology, museums often develop strategies with no connection to local territorial and social issues, with limited impact on the lives of communities. But how can we take a different route and recode these practices?
The aim of this research is to contribute to a better understanding of the museum as a social technology, through the specific objectives of mapping good practices, analyzing and interpreting participatory processes and methods of a museological nature based on dialogue and community, in order to develop methodologies aligned with development strategies, using the museum as a resource.
