This book marks the beginning of the Thesis Series of the Education Sciences Collection, aimed at publishing doctoral theses conducted at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias or in programs and partnerships established between this university and other national or foreign universities.

Based on the doctoral thesis presented by the author at Université Lumière Lyon 2, the book in question constitutes an important contribution to the debate on inclusive education policies and practices in our country.
