On February 20, 2025, at 6:00 PM, the book Gingar na Cidade. Bicicleta, participação e transformação do território will be launched at the Marvila Library.
The book presents the Gingada project and explores the interactions between territory, participation, and mobility, with a special focus on bicycle use in Marvila, parish of Lisbon. Featuring contributions from various authors, the work provides a comprehensive perspective on sustainable mobility and community development in transforming urban contexts.
The event, hosted by Henrique Chaves and Inês Vieira, partners in the implementation of the Gingada project, will last two hours and will be open to all interested individuals. Admission is free, with no prior registration required.
This event represents a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of mobility dynamics and civic participation in Marvila, fostering a debate on innovative strategies for building more inclusive and sustainable cities.
The Gingada project was funded through the BIP/ZIP program (2020), promoted by Rés do Chão and Grupo Recreativo Janz e Associados, in partnership with the Centro de Promoção Social da Prodac – SCML, Grupo Comunitário 4 Crescente, the Marvila Parish Council, CICS.NOVA, FCSH, and CeiED at Universidade Lusófona.
