Lusófona University – Lisbon University Centre presents the Postgraduate Programme in Educational Administration and Leadership, an advanced training programme that offers a contemporary and deeply pedagogical approach to school leadership, grounded in narrative, collaborative and learning-oriented leadership.

Aligned with the Critical Collaborative Professional Enquiry (CCPE) model, the programme focuses on training applied to the realities of educational organisations, developing participants’ capacity to diagnose problems based on evidence, make ethical and participatory decisions, and design purposeful educational interventions, supported by action research and collaborative work.

Throughout the programme, participants engage with active and demanding methodologies, including Problem-Based Learning (PBL), critical case studies, co-design workshops, peer review, and reflective narratives and journals. The programme culminates in a strong praxis and context-based research component, through fieldwork carried out in a school setting.

The teaching team brings together experts from both academic and professional fields, strengthening the connection between academic rigour and intervention in educational contexts. The curriculum includes courses focusing on topics such as teacher biographies and professionalism; narrative leadership and collaborative supervision; educational policies, regulation and school autonomy; organisational dynamics and problem-solving; co-design of intervention projects; and research in context.

The Postgraduate Programme is aimed at education and training professionals who currently hold, or intend to take on, roles in middle leadership, pedagogical coordination, supervision, mentoring, self-evaluation and project management. It also provides a strong foundation for professionals aspiring to leadership and school management positions, in accordance with the applicable legal framework.

The programme will be accredited as Specialised Training by the CCPFC.
