Orlanda Tavares, an integrated researcher at CeiED, was invited by the television channel “SIC” to comment on the implications of the new rules for accessing higher education that were reported in previous weeks, such as the introduction of three mandatory national exams, one of which is Portuguese; the end of mandatory national exams for students to complete secondary education; and the increase, to 50%, of the “weight” of the exam score and decrease, to 35%, of the final classification of secondary education.
