Citizen Science Doctoral College discusses Ethics in Scientific Research

The workshop Ethics in Scientific Research promoted by the PhD College Citizen Science EMU – CeiED took place last September 30th, via zoom. The work was coordinated by Professor Ana Benavente, president of the Ethics Commission of the Lusófona University and by the Magnificent Rector of ULHT, Professor Mário Moutinho, who discussed the topic with PhD students in Education, Museology and Urbanism, teachers and researchers of CeiED.

In general, broad questions related to the subject were discussed and, more specifically, the intervention was centred in three complementary points: the main types of academic fraud, the possible causes of transgression to Ethics and the proposal of some ways to overcome these transgressions. This workshop is part of the 2021-2022 work plan of the CDCC, whose main objective is to promote interdisciplinary activities focused on the concrete needs of its members, to support the research conducted within the 3 doctoral programmes.
