COVID19 Survey Guidelines

The return to face-to-face activity on campus is scheduled for 19 April, as determined in the strategy for the lifting of the containment measures by the RCM no. 19/2021, of 13 March, which also establishes the preparation of a screening to the whole academic community (teaching and non-teaching staff and students).

Because it will be normal that students and teachers ask questions regarding the process, it will be necessary to clarify, and as a support to the information that:

  1. The University will make tests available to the whole academic community, integrated in the Direção-Geral do Ensino Superior (DGES)/Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa (CVP) Program to which Lusófona Institutions have adhered.
  2. A message, SMS and email will be sent to all members of the academic community with a record of face-to-face activities (time slots) for the purpose of:
    1. Information regarding the safe return process and procedures to perform the tests;
    2. Completion of form/questionnaire and consent; (completion of this form is mandatory);
    3. Information regarding the scheduling of the test, after completion of the form, and in coordination with the Portuguese Red Cross.
  3. If there are any scheduled activities that are not registered in the CSH Timetable, we would appreciate if you could send this information to the address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. so that those involved can be notified for testing.
  4. The tests will take place at the University Campus, by appointment made by the University. It is recommended that those summoned should present themselves 10 to 15 minutes in advance for a better management.
  5. As determined by the health authorities, all those who have had a positive diagnosis to COVID-19 less than 90 days before are exempt from testing, as well as those who have tested negative until 5 days before returning to classes.
  6. Refusal to take the test, without being included in the exceptions mentioned above, implies the impossibility of entering the campus for face-to-face teaching activities and the consequences resulting therefrom are the responsibility of the person who refused.
  7. The results of the tests will be informed by the Portuguese Red Cross and the health authorities. In case of a positive test, the determinations inscribed in the Return Plan will be applied, being compulsory to inform the email This email address is being protected from spambots. 8. All students are required to use the Lusófona Mobile App and teachers are required to use the Lusófona Mobile App for teachers (available in Android and iOS systems) through which the University will control the entrance to the campus. The Lusófona Mobile App will be an important resource to facilitate the process, and its installation is recommended to all teachers and students.

Because we are going to test more than 10,000 people, and we intend, as we have already done, a safe return, it is important that the organic unit directors, course directors and services collaborate, namely in answering the requests made and not altering the defined calendars, unless necessary because of the evolution of the situation or other reasons of force majeure.

We appeal to them to help in the transmission of information, according to the determinations made, if necessary, directing eventual doubts to the created e-mails (This email address is being protected from spambots.
