Desirée Nobre Salasar awarded Distinction and Honours in Doctoral Examination in Sociomuseology

On September 30, 2025, the Final Doctoral Examination of candidate Desirée Nobre Salasar took place at the Universidade Lusófona Campus in Lisbon, with the thesis entitled:
 “Sociomuseology and Equitable Communication: A case study of the national monument Mosteiro de Santa Maria da Vitória, Batalha.”

Supervised by Mário Nuno Antas, the candidate was approved with distinction and honours, in recognition of the scientific quality and relevance of the research conducted within the Doctoral Programme in Museology, with a specialisation in Sociomuseology.

Desirée Nobre Salasar’s thesis contributes to a deeper reflection on communication processes in the field of Sociomuseology, proposing an equitable and inclusive approach to communication in heritage contexts.
