10 and 12 march 2025
Between the 10th and 12th of March, the University Centre of Lisbon of Lusófona University hosted the biannual meeting of the EURIDICE Consortium, bringing together representatives of partner institutions from various countries, including Portugal, Spain, Iceland, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Greece, Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Ukraine and Ghana. However, some participation took place remotely.
The event promoted debates on joint initiatives in education, such as micro-credentials and international collaboration, and during the three days of work there were enriching talks. António Teodoro addressed the topic of ‘Global Citizenship in Education’, Vitor Duarte Teodoro discussed ‘Artificial Intelligence in Education’ and Mário Moutinho presented a thought-provoking reflection on ‘Museology’.
In addition to the academic discussions, the meeting included a cultural moment with the screening of the Brazilian film Ainda estou aqui, by Walter Salles, followed by a debate among the participants.
Another highlight of the event was Manuel José Damásio's presentation on the FilmEU European Alliance, highlighting possibilities for collaboration between the EURIDICE Consortium and Lusófona students. This partnership paves the way for a connection with Media Arts, Creative Industries and Technologies, aligning with the European Union's strategy and enabling internships and innovative initiatives in the Digital Europe Programme.
