Vítor Rosa, Integrated Researcher at CeiED and Coordinator of ReLeCo – Educação Desportiva, Corpo e Ética, concluded with success a second Post-Doctorate in the Centro de Investigação em Desporto, Saúde e Desenvolvimento Humano (CIDESD), Universidade da Beira Interior.

His research focused on martial arts and combat sports in Portugal, with particular emphasis on the Steering Committee for Martial Arts, created in 1972 within the General Secretariat of National Defence (SGDN). It was transferred in 1974 to the General Staff of the Armed Forces (EMGFA). In accordance with Decree-Law no. 507/80, of 21 October, it was reintegrated into the Ministry of Education and Science (MEC) and transferred to the Ministry of Quality of Life (MQV) through Decree-Law no. 23/82, of 30 January. It would be extinguished in 1987.
