Lucimar Dantas, researcher at CeiED and co-coordinator of the ReLeCo Learning & Innovation, participated as an invited speaker at the 4th International Conference on the Portuguese and Spanish Languages – CILPE 2025, held on 11–12 November at the University of Cape Verde, in the city of Praia.
CILPE 2025 Multilingualism, Interculturality, Citizenship was coordinated by the Director of the Organisation of Ibero-American States (OEI) in Portugal, Professor Ana Paula Laborinho. The event brought together policymakers, diplomats, academics and representatives from various Ibero-American countries. Institutions such as the CPLP, Camões Institute, Instituto Cervantes, the Royal Spanish Academy, the Brazilian Academy of Letters and the Guimarães Rosa Institute were also in attendance.
Over the course of two days, more than 80 presentations were delivered, organised around three thematic axes: Geopolitics of Languages and International Cooperation; Languages, Mobility, Intercultural Education; Cultures, Development and Democracy.
The participation of researcher Lucimar Dantas is aligned with her ongoing work on language and learning, and it strengthens international partnerships within the scope of the new Bachelor’s degree in Portuguese Studies at Universidade Lusófona, set to begin in the 2026/2027 academic year.
