Luiza Trápaga’s Participation in the IX Iberian Forum of Museological Studies in Madrid

Early-career researcher Luiza Trápaga recently took part in the IX Iberian Forum of Museological Studies, held at the Universidad de Alcalá (UAH), Madrid. During the event, she delivered a presentation on the importance of citizen participation in the construction and maintenance of memory spaces, highlighting how community involvement strengthens the preservation and valorization of cultural heritage.

The event took place at the historic Universidad de Alcalá, founded in 1499 and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, providing a unique setting for academic discussions on museology and cultural memory.

Luiza’s participation reinforces her commitment to promoting active citizenship and fostering dialogue among researchers, museum professionals, and the public, contributing to more inclusive and participatory museological practices.
