An opinion article written by the researcher Salete Farias was published in the platform of the Institute of Sociology of the University of Porto.
Last year she participated in the School of Science: challenges, opportunities post pandemic where she developed an opinion article writing activity for the Social Barometer platform of the Institute of Sociology of the University of Porto.
This activity was supervised and the opinion article was approved by teachers Vítor Rosa and Elsa Estrela, who validated the text.
It was given the option to send it to the Platform’s Editing Board to be actually published in the Institute’s blog.
The article is entitled PISA 2018 and girls’ STEM education and was published this Monday, 2 August.
The opinion articles of this platform aim to disseminate science to people beyond the walls of universities and is a virtual platform for reflection and analysis on Portuguese society and its positioning in the international context.
