PhD Student in Sociomuseology Presents at International Colloquium on Literary Journalism in France

The researcher in training, Paula Fiúza, a PhD student in Sociomuseology, participated in the International Colloquium “Investigative Literature and Literary Journalism: Towards a New Paradigm of Evidence?”, held on October 8 and 9, 2025, in France.

Her presentation, entitled “Narrating to Exist: Affective Memory, Migration, and Testimony in Literary Journalism”, took place on October 8 and is available in full on YouTube, through the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6zIsc0qDqs.
In her talk, Paula explored the connections between Literary Journalism and Sociomuseology, establishing a dialogue with the ideas of bell hooks and other key authors in these fields. The aim was to reflect on how migrant testimony can be developed through ethical, affective, and relational principles, bringing literary writing closer to sociomuseological practices.

The official program of the event can be accessed on the CELIS – Centre de Recherches sur les Littératures et la Sociopoétique website by clicking here.
