The ReLeCo “Núcleo de Estudos Africanos: Educação e Sociedade”, of the Centro de Estudos Interdisciplinares em Educação e Desenvolvimento, of the Universidade Lusófona (CeiED|ULusofona|ReLeCo NEA-ES), has the pleasure of inviting you to participate in its Open Class, under the theme: “Democracy in Africa (from the institutionalization of young democracies in Sub-Saharan Africa)”, to take place on April 17, 2023, at 17h30, with the presence and lecture of Professor Edalina Sanches, Auxiliary Researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon and author of the book Party Systems in Young Democracies: Varieties of institutionalization in Sub-Saharan Africa (Routledge, 2018).

This Open Class aims to contribute to scientific and academic dialogues, emerging and ongoing, and to the identification of theoretical, methodological and empirical frameworks based on the socio-historical framework, consistent with the study of the socio-contemporary reality(s) that characterize the countries of Sub-Saharan Africa.
