On the 20th and 21st of October, the XXXIV International Congress of the Ibero-American Society of Social Pedagogy and the 10th Conference on Intercultural Mediation and Intervention were held jointly at the Escola Superior de Educação e Ciências Sociais of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria. Social. This year, they had the participation of doctoral students Ana Sofia Gonçalves, Felisberto Costa and Paula de Oliveira, who presented communications related to their research topics.

Issues related to Theory and Practice were debated, discussed and deepened in: Communities (“real” or “imagined”); Family contexts; and Educational territories in public and private spaces: schools, associations, municipalities, institutions.

Both Universidade Lusófona and CeiED were well represented with the aforementioned communications, which were able to cross two simultaneously distinct domains but also undeniably associated in social and educational intervention.
