Round Table “Early Childhood Education: The doors that April opened – paths and challenges

13 April 2023

With the revolution of April 25, 1974 the new political powers considered the school as a fundamental means for the democratisation of the country and its reflexes had immediate effects on all school actors. Intense activities were experienced in schools and measures were adopted to align the objectives of the educational institutions with the objectives of the revolutionary process.

In the continuity of the initiatives regarding the project “Utopias of April. The Portuguese Revolution and Education”, under development in the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Development (CeiED) of Lusófona University, the round table “Early Childhood Education: the doors that April opened – paths and challenges” will take place.

This round table will have the participation of Ana Garret, João Sampaio Maia and Teresa Vasconcelos. The debates will be moderated by António Teodoro, taking place in the Sala de Atos of the Lusófona University – University Centre of Porto, on 22 April 2023, at 10am.
