The doctoral defence in education of Salete Silva Farias took place on 11 September 2024, with the thesis entitled: ‘The Impact of Gender Stereotypes on the Gender Gap in a school context in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) area at the Federal Institute of Maranhão - Campus São Luís Monte Castelo’.

The jury was made up of:Rosa Serradas Duarte (President-Universidade Lusófona); Vitor Duarte Teodoro (Arguente-Universidade Lusófona); Alexandra Duarte (Arguente-Universidade do Porto); Ricardo Pinto (Member-Universidade Lusófona); José de Oliveira (Member-Instituto Politécnico do Porto); Maria de Lourdes Machado-Taylor (Member-Universidade Lusófona) and Alcina de Oliveira Martins (Supervisor-Universidade Lusófona).
