Universidade Lusófona participated in the Future of Politics Summit held at the beginning of the 2021/2022 school year
In partnership with the Cascais City Council, the Advanced Leadership Foundation settled in Washington, D.C., organized the first edition of the Future of Politics Summit. The Summit aspires to become an annual meeting of the leading and most diverse political minds of our planet to address the grand challenges we face globally. The Future of Politics – Summit 2021 took place in the new SBE – Carcavelos. 30 September and 1 October 2021.
Lília Marcelino, a researcher at CeiED and CICANT – Universidade Lusófona, was invited to moderate the table with the former president of Slovenia and president of the Madrid Club, Danilo Türk, on the main challenges for new democracies, streamed live on 1st October on:
As a professor at FCSEA – Faculty of Social Sciences, Education and Administration, Lília Marcelino led her students of the Undergraduate Education Sciences – Social Education to participate in the Summit. The student Catarina Claudino of the 3rd year of the chair of Psychology of Education gave the following testimony about the event:
“The activities of this kind – moving to other facilities, knowing new realities outside our University – inspire us as curious students and young people.
It motivates us to know more about these topics that are not much talked about among us young people. It makes us see the reality around us at the level of politics and the future of our generation since it is the same that has to make a difference.”
