

Isabel Cluny
Isabel holds a PhD in the History of Political Ideas from the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences (FCSH). Throughout her career, she has played several prominent roles in research and teaching. She served as deputy director of the Biblioteca Nacional magazine and was the scientific coordinator of two exhibitions at the Museu do Douro.
As an author, she has published her master's and doctoral theses on Diplomacy in the Horizonte books. Her contribution to historiography earned her the Gulbenkian Prize for European History from the Academy of History, awarded for her book O Conde de Tarouca e a Diplomacia na Época Moderna.
She dedicated more than four decades to teaching, working at Escola Secundária Luísa de Gusmão and Liceu Camões (1978-2023). In higher education, she was part of the faculty of the Master's in Didactics at the Faculty of Letters of Lisbon (FLL) and the Master's in International Relations at Universidade Lusófona.
