Pedro Jesus
Pedro Jesus holds a PhD in Education Sciences from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (2023) and also has a background as an Architect. Operating within the Social Sciences with a primary emphasis on Education Sciences, he has worked as a Visual Arts teacher in secondary education for over twenty years. He is currently a faculty member for the Master's Degree in Teaching Visual Arts (3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education) at ISMAT – Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes.
Deeply committed to initial and continuous teacher training, he serves as a trainer and as the Director of a Teacher Training Centre. Furthermore, he acts as a consultant in innovation processes linked to improving school education.
As a researcher, his fields of interest include educational and pedagogical innovation, school leadership, teacher professional collaboration, and the participation of children and young people in innovation and school improvement processes. He is the author of several peer-reviewed journal articles and various chapters in other academic publications.
