Euridice Project Biannual Meeting

The fourth biannual meeting of the Euridice project took place on September 3, 4, and 5 at the Slovak Office for Research and Development in Brussels. The agenda included a meeting of the Project General Assembly on the 3rd and 5th, and on the 4th, a review meeting of the EURIDICE project with the EU project manager, Radoslav Jakub, and the external evaluator, Prof. Michal Wozniak. Elsa Estrela, researcher at CeiED, participated as a representative of CeiED/Lusófona University and coordinator of WP4 of the project.

The meeting was held in a hybrid format and, on the first day, the partners reviewed the presentations to be made as part of the project review process and discussed issues related to the design of microcredentials: content, certification, and recognition.

The second day was entirely devoted to the review meeting of the project corresponding to the first 18 months. The overall assessment was very positive, as both the EU project manager and the external evaluator were very impressed with the work carried out so far, as well as with the level of commitment and involvement of the consortium partners.

The third day was devoted to reviewing the assessment, systematizing the points to be improved, and defining a timeline for the coming months.

As part of this project, and with the aim of contributing to the construction of a digital society based on human, ethical, and democratic values, the first year of the European Master's Degree in Digital Society, Social Innovation, and Global Citizenship will begin next October, under the responsibility of the Universities of Innsbruck, Austria, Naples Federico II, Italy, and Palacky Olomouc in the Czech Republic. Lusófona University also plays a particularly important role, as it is an associate partner in this master's degree and intends to submit the project for accreditation this academic year, thereby becoming a degree-awarding institution.

In addition to the European master's degree, the project is developing training modules for certification as microcredentials for professionals in all areas, coordinated by Professor Elsa Estrela.
