Participation of the Museology Department in the II International Meeting of Archives, Libraries, and Museums

On November 16, 17, and 18, the II International Meeting of Archives, Libraries, and Museums was held at the University of Porto, under the theme "From Syncretism to Integration." The event, organized as part of the international cooperation agreement between the University of Porto and the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), included participation from Prof. Dr. Adel Igor Pausini and master's student Maria Luisa Moita from the Museology Department of Universidade Lusófona.

The meeting, which featured participation from universities in Portugal, Brazil, and other invited international institutions, aimed to promote reflection and debate on the field of information science.

Researchers from the Museology Department of Lusófona presented a joint communication titled "Information and Decolonial Policies: Museums, Archives, and Libraries in Service of Society," discussing the social responsibility of institutions and their commitment to decoloniality and public and citizen science, developing processes that meet societal demands. The text will soon be available in the journal Revista Fontes Documentais.
