Artistas, Patrimônio e o Museu

Inserted in the official calendar of the Portugal-France 2022 Season, this initiative is endorsed by CeiED - Interdisciplinary Research Center in Education and Development, Lusófona University. The Portugal-France 2022 Season is a bilateral diplomatic initiative between Portugal and France, aimed at deepening cultural relations between the two countries.

In the context of recent concerns with non-European heritage, the history of scientific museology, and the colonial thought associated with it, the museum institution and the way it deals with history have been intensely scrutinized. The collective exhibition "Artists, Heritage, and the Museum," along with associated events, examines the museum institution and heritage through the lens of contemporary art, particularly conceptual art, and from a multidisciplinary and dynamic methodology.
