Projects

The place of Intangible Cultural Heritage in educational processes

The goal is to identify, through a comprehensive diagnosis, initiatives in the field of intangible cultural heritage within both curricular and extracurricular activities in schools in the Greater Lisbon area. These initiatives should encourage the appreciation of cultural diversity and citizenship in formal educational settings.

The objective is to pinpoint ongoing initiatives and best practices within schools that promote the use of intangible cultural heritage as a tool for reflection, transformation, and connection between the community, school, and heritage. These identified initiatives can be replicated and expanded in future actions.

Objectives

Understanding how school communities utilize intangible cultural heritage and how it can help transform the reality of educational institutions and professionals in the country, in order to know, value, and encourage the use of intangible cultural expressions in educational processes from an inclusive and multicultural perspective.
