On October 1, 2018, the Scientific Coordinator of CeiED, Professor António Teodoro, published an opinion piece in the Sol, in which he warned about the marginalization of knowledge produced in the field of ​​Educational Sciences.

Visit of Associação Humanidades – HUMANUS to ULHT

Dr. Bruna Alves of Associação Humanidades (HUMANUS) was present at the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies (ULHT) to stimulate, within the framework of the protocol with the Degree in Educational Sciences – Social Education, a training session and clarification on the role of Humanus in social inclusion of vulnerable publics. Dr. Bruna presented the socio-educational projects of the institution and motivated the trainees to develop activities aimed at the social integration of young adolescent mothers in situations of social exclusion. It was a very interesting training event that made students aware of this type of problem and mobilized them for the ensuing debate.

Equivalence of the Master’s Degree in Educational Sciences from ULHT at UNIVAS (Brazil)

The University of Vale do Sapucaí (UNIVAS) recognized the Master’s Degree in Educational Sciences of Kátia Caroline Souza Ferreira, with the dissertation “From initial formation to continuing teacher training: the architecture of professional teacher development”, guided by Prof. Dr. Geovani de Jesus Silva (UNEB) and co-oriented by Prof. Dr. Rosa Serradas Duarte (ULHT).

Presentation session of Erasmus + projects (Researcher of CeiED Ana Paula Silva)

The CeiED Researcher Professor Ana Paula Silva presented on October 31, 2018 (room U.0.8, ULHT) the two Erasmus + projects in which she is involved this school year: a K2, Pedagogy and Practice (PedPack) that, for 24 months, will carry out the sharing of good pedagogical-didactic practices, aiming at innovation in teacher training. The other project, also Erasmus +, but a K3, will last for 36 months and aims to provide meaningful outputs for educational policy reform, with the designation STAIRS – Stakeholders Together Adapting Ideas to Readjust Local Systems to Promote Inclusive Education.

This event took place between 5 and 7 July 2018 in Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

PhD in Education: 100th thesis defended last November 2, 2018

On November 2, 2018 the 100th thesis in the scope of the Doctoral Program in Education was defended. Dr. Cristina Maria Paulo Pessoa, who presented the thesis “Leadership in the School of Today. Essencial Skills to the Leadership of the School Director” was approved, having as advisor Professor Óscar C. Sousa.
