In 2017, the Museu do Casal de Monte Redondo underwent a reorganization process undertaken by the community and students of the Museology Program at Universidade Lusófona de Lisboa. It was decided that the process of revitalizing the museum would start from a broad educational project that would involve the various social and cultural groups of Monte Redondo. 

This process must associate the technical knowledge of museology with traditional knowledge, knowledge and techniques, present in the museum's collection and part of the tangible and intangible heritage of the communities and Monte Redondo. With this project, it was possible to coordinate collaborative educational actions between the museum and thecommunities.

The project was awarded within the scope of the 9th Ibermuseus Education Award Category II – Promotion of projects in the preparation and/or planning phase.
